The type initializer for 'Microsoft.HostIntegration.TI.RemoteEnvironmentClassFactory' threw an exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all

    We are using Host Integration Server 2010 (CU 1) in combination with BizTalk Server 2010 (CU 5). We are using the HIS Dataconversion Component to map XML to CPY for usage with a custom Middleware, configured on a send port. We have a multiple environment setup:
    DEV: single node
    QUAL: 2 nodes

    In DEV, everything works as expected, in QUAL however we get the following error:

    An error occurred while processing the message, refer to the details section for more information
    Message ID: {06653512-DEF7-45C5-BF55-A320DEFB602E}
    Instance ID: {CA402C34-F68F-4B63-9C6C-7E743E7A345C}
    Error Description: There was a failure executing the send pipeline: "AG.LI.ELIA.Printing.Pipelines.DataConversionSendPipelineCallPCLI0I05, PELIELIA.Printing.Pipelines, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ad71a5407eea3ad8" Source: "DataConversion Component" Send Port: "CallPCLI0I05" URI: "agis://PCLI0I05?Environment=Q000&DebugMode=False&IsAnonymous=False" Reason: The type initializer for 'Microsoft.HostIntegration.TI.RemoteEnvironmentClassFactory' threw an exception.

    This occurs both on the first and the second node.

    Any pointers would be appreciated, thank you!

  • The issue seems resolved after reinstalling HIS2010... We did the reinstall on one node, and requests on that node are working. We will reinstall on the second node today and continue investigating. If we find a concrete fix result, I'll post it here for future reference.

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hello,

    Have you already taken a look at the Event Log ?

    Are there any entries regarding your issue ?

    Could you try to install HIS 2010 CU 3 or 4 ?

  • Hello Steve

    The error I posted is from the event log. No other issues detected.
    Both DEV and QUAL are at CU1 with a hotfix for our company in Microsoft.HostIntegration.TI.BasePrimitiveConverter.dll

    I don't think installing CU3/4 will fix the issue (is in the possible tracks in the future) because it works on the DEV environment...

  • Hello,

    Have you already verified, when you going from DEV to QUAL that all the BizTalk Application Assemblies (of you developped application) are correctly deployed in the destination GAC (QUAL) ? I'm asking this because I've got a similar error some month ago.

    Is this the only application on QUAL having this issue ?

  • Hello Steve

    We confirmed this, all BizTalk assemblies and HIS have been correctly deployed both to GAC and file destination for HIS components. The receive location (WCF-Custom) picks up the message, but when executing the send pipeline the described error occurs. This pipeline has the HIS dataconversion component configured...
