Windows Grants or Denies Remote Access (Access With a Client Application like MSTSC) -- There Are Two Ways To Grant It Seems RRS feed

  • Question

  • WindowsKey/GearIcon(Settings)/System/RemoteDesktop/EnableRemoteDesktop is a switch Off/On meaning Deny/Grant permission to users to remotely logon to this computer using a client like mstsc.  In the same realm: ThisPC/Properties/RemoteSettings radio buttons Don't Allow/Allow remote connections to this computer.  Question:  Inside Windows 10 Pro do these separate controls perform the identical function?  If not, how do the two functions differ?  Wish I could inspect the code.
