Fim 2010 - Change DN value for single object in connector space - PowerShell MA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

I have a bit of a complex issue here with FIM 2010 sync and a PowerShell MA. I'll provide some background first.

SQL MA from HR Datasource --- EmployeeID is the Anchor attribute

standard AD MA & FIM MA.

PowerShell MA using EmployeeID as the anchor attribute.

I am assisting with a merger and we have approximately 30 users whose Employee ID's match between the organization and we need to resolve the conflicts by changing their ID's. When doing this I receive errors of "sync-rule-flow-provisioning-failed" and "ambiguous-import-flow-from-multiple-connectors" When these errors occur during Full Import/Sync I see FIM attempting to import the new updated ID and simultaneously delete the old ID.

I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion on how to resolve this.

    Thanks - Bill

  • Best thing is to change the employeeID at the source.

You can change the anchor tk be a compond, employeeid+something else, so far as it is unique.
