  • Can you help me forward with this connectivity problem

A couple of days Windows Server 2012 can't connect Internet. Anyway the LAN cables are OK and the server seems to be in the LAN.  I get the following message:

The has not been any big changes in the server or the LAN for a long time.

  • Hi Nikorios,

It would help to analyze the issue if you could provide more information about the network topology please.

    >>A couple of days Windows Server 2012 can't connect Internet.

    How about the other devices?

Are you connecting using IP address or hostname?

If IP address, ensure there are no firewalls blocking the traffic. Also ensure the IP configuration is correct on the server. And contact ISP to check the Internet connection.

If hostname, I suppose the issue may be related to DNS. Which DNS server have you configured on the Server? Is the DNS server wokring? Is there firewall blocking the DNS traffic.

To troubleshoot DNS issues, you could run nslookup.

Here is the reference for the command:

  • The problem is solved

For some reason my modem was as a bridge and the IP addresses was changed. I could change it back to modem and now the situation is OK again.
