  • Question

  • i entered a task in ms project then its start when i entered the actual start the ms project split the task automatically

    why did it do that??????

  • the problem still going on despite of I deleted the the predecessor

  • Does it have progress on the task ( %complete > 0)? Is it possible that there are tasks that are higher priority assigned to the same resource?

    By the way, it helps if title of the post is more descriptive. Cheers!

  • If the task has a predecessor and it finishes later than the actual start you entered, then the task will split as the remaining duration still obeys the split. you can delete the predecessor link and the task split should disappear.
