How do I set the start date to always be the current date? RRS feed

  • In a filter, how do I set the start date to always be the current date without the need to update everytime the filter is applied?

    You could use the Today function but as I recall once that is used it permanently sets that date for the filter. So, your best bet is to create a custom field (e.g. Date1) with the formula:

    Date1 = Now()

    And then refer to the Date1 field in your filter.

  • Hi , Try this to custom column , but how to use this custom column to get your desired result , this I am unable to find .

    Insert new column - By right click insert column - go to  Date1.

    Select the new column Date1 and right click - custom fields.

    U will see a window and Custom attributes (first line) click formula . In formula cell - go to function -- go to date/time --go to Now() ...click ok . u have the custom column .

    It looks like RKS jumped in with some instruction for creating the custom date field with the needed formula. Does that answer your question or do you still have a problem?
