Web application doesn't respond the first time checking IIS to troubleshoot RRS feed

    We have a client that run web applications using IIS, if the application does not reply the first time  is there a way to check logs in IIS 7 to find out why it may have failed to run the application the first time?  Any information greatly appreciated.
