International phone number RRS feed

  • Question

  • I tried to download Microsoft app to my Android. So happens that the only form of phone number is the standard United States 9 digit phone number. Therefore my Android or anyone's for that matter is not qualified to download the Microsoft App if you reside outside the United States system. Help! I'm from Brazil with a very long phone number.

  • Hello,

The 'Academic Initiatives - General Discussions' forum is for any posts not covered under any of the other forums as related to Microsoft's Academic Initiatives.

As it's off-topic here, I am moving the question to the Where is the forum for... forum.

  • Hello,

I'd ask in forums for the App Store you are using.

Microsoft has a Windows App store forum, but not a forum for Android apps.

Alternatively, if you tell us what Microsoft App we may be able to point you to more relevant help.

Not clear to me is the issue is with download the app outside the United States or using the a form in the app. If the issue is with insatalling/ download outside the United States then Check if this explain the issue and gives you the solution:

"If you move to a different country or region, change your region setting to keep shopping at Store. Note: Most products purchased from Windows Store in one region will not work in another" (Quoted from here).

According to Microsoft recommendation you should change your region setting to keep shopping, and probably the form you will get will be changed as well according to your setting
