Exchange server 2016 outgoing mail flow issue. RRS feed

  • we have two exchange server 2016  in DAG .  we are getting in queue viewer  unable to connect host . when we perform telnet  from exchange server  to external mail server on 25 port  showing the error unable to connect but when we go to firewall end we are getting SMTP log accept at  for that mail server . please suggest it is our exchange mail problem or ISP end problem to block 25 port our mx IP is not RBL list.

  • Hi,

    Did you get the same result if we trying performing telnet on another client?

    Do you have the issue with a specific external mail server or all external mail servers?

    Is there any issue when we send email to an internal recipient? 

    Besides, we may try running Get-MessageTrackingLog to troubleshoot the issue.
