Creating Queue based on WorkItem Creator RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I want to create a queue where the current user is the user who created the workitem (CR).

    I created a MP and modified the Membership Rule but somehow can't get it to work. However I am unable to re-import the management with the error that the Path is not correct.

    This is what my expression looks like:

    <Expression>
                    <SimpleExpression>
                      <ValueExpression>
                        <GenericProperty Path="$Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Library!System.WorkItemCreatedByUser']$">Id</GenericProperty>
                      </ValueExpression>
                      <Operator>Equals</Operator>
                      <ValueExpression>
                        <Value>[me]</Value>
                      </ValueExpression>
                    </SimpleExpression>
                  </Expression>

    Any idea would be appricated.

  • Maybe this blog post is helpful to create a view with change requests "assigned to me":

    All Work Items Assigned to Me View

    I doubt there is an option to control the permissions based on the [me] token for a work item.

  • You can't use tokens for queue.

  • Hello,

    It looks as if my approach does not work at all.

    Is it possible to create permissions based on the role of the user (e.g. User who created a change request can edit it).

    Thank you

    Sascha

  • Thank you.

    I saw this post but it only works on views not on queues. It seems you can't create membership rules for queues based on GenericProperties.
