OWA not working externally using sonicwall RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem with my owa, since inside (internally ) it works fine.

i have a sonicwall used as a NAT firewall.

when i type internally http://externalip/exchange it works

but when i do the same outside...

its not working it also not asking any login profile or anything...

it does have an error 404 in browser.

help me pls... im totally getting crazy over this.

our sonicwall is configured in the same external ip that my owa is using.

so when i type http://externalip the sonicwall's setup appears.

    what should i do?

  • Tell your sonicwall not to allow external web admin, but to forward https traffic to your OWA server. Or, if you must have web admin enabled, see if you can change the port number. You can't have the sonicwall responding to https traffic by showing its web admin UI, and have it forwarding https traffic to your OWA server at the same time.

  • This really isn't an Exchange question, it's a SonicWall question, and for that you ought to post in a SonicWall forum.

You can start by looking in the IIS logs to see if anything is getting through.

  • I do have one exchange 2003 working under our firewall -sonic wall.

all emails are working under our own internal domain but as i tested internal owa is also working...

only the external owa is not working....

its the only thing that gonna make make my setup complete.

    thanks
