Incorrect "Remaining Work" in Resource Sheet view RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Project 2013 in an enterprise environment with Server 2013 and Resource Sheet view to track overall project progress in terms of actual vs. planned work and cost.

Problem is that behavior of work-related fields is inconsistent (can be verified in Resource Usage view):

    - "Planned work" field includes planned work from ALL projects, not just current project

    - "Remaining work" behaves in a similar manner (includes current and ALL other projects)

    - "Actual work" is the same (includes current and ALL other projects)

    - but "Regular work" only displays planned hours from CURRENT project, not including other projects

    Is this by design?

I want to see only actual and remaining/planned data related to the CURRENT project in my Resource Sheet view. Is there a way to achieve that?

  • Hi Dimitry,

Try to uncheck the option "load summary resources assignments" when opening MS Project Pro. Doing this you will have only current project's assignments.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Dimitry Korolev,

You can achieve that by un-ticking the Load Summary Resource Assignments when opening MS Project and connecting to the PWA environment

In order to be prompted for this screen make sure the option to Choose an Account is selected in the Manage accounts screen

    Hope this helps

  • Yep that helped, although it's a bit irrational anyways. Thanks!
