Office 2007 on Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've recently run into a problem on Vista (both 32- and 64-bit) where apparently, after Office 2007 updates, mouse clicks have stopped working properly (i.e. it takes several clicks to get a single left-click).  After some poking around on the web, I found a solution that seems to have worked (deleting the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data subkey from the registry).  After restarting Word, I noticed this subkey did not get recreated, so my question is...what are the side effects of this deletion?
