Sharepoint moss 2007 Audit log reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • As I know, sharepoint audit log reports are only authorized to site collection administrator.

Can non-adminitrator account access these reports?

    The requirement detail is:

Client wants this function to be open to every sharepoint user, but don't want every user to be site collection adminstrator. As known, site collection administrator own super administration rights to manage whole site collection (including every subordinated site)

    thx ahead!

  • Hi ,

I understand that you want all the users to see the audit log reports . By default ,the audit log reports only can be seen by the site administrators .

There is a third party tool to achieve this ,you can have a look at this site:

    SharePoint Audit Suitehttp://www.muhimbi.com/Products/SharePoint-Audit.aspx

  • The information should be regarding file operations in SharePoint document library.

Such as File Name, Action(new, delete, update), ByWhom, ActionDate and something like that.
