How to Import Data to Access from Excel RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using Office 2003 and 2007 in some offices and even 2010 in others.  We generate a form in Excel that has interdepended drop-down list boxes which our service personnel use to select customers from state, district, town.  Their selections populate the form.  They make other selections from other drop-downs to document the services they provide.  All the list box data for the form is obtained from an Access database using a simple refresh.

The forms are filled-in and sent to a person who manually enters the form information back into the original database, appending data to existing tables thereby updating the database.  This is slow and subject to data entry error.

Is there a way through basic programing to automate these updates?  Ideally the user would open the Excel form and check it visually, then click a button that would send the data from the various form fields into specific fields in a new record in the database table.

If this can be done, it will be a real time saver and I am willing to pay for the code.
