Does Anyone Know Anyone Who Works at Microsoft RRS feed

  • Question

  • Who can tell me why this stupid white clock icon is on one of my folders in Windows 2012 Server, and what it means?  It is seriously climbing on my OCD.  I even tried to open a PSS ticket, but they told me since it's Server 2012 it would be $259.

  • Hi,

It is a little difficult to find a document which explain all these icons. Some icons may just create for old operation systems.

The icon in your screenshot seems like the Figure 8, though it still not explain the exact meaning (but at least it is a valid icon i think):

  • Is it part of a DFS replication set?

  • "It is seriously climbing on my OCD" - It can't be too bad yet, otherwise you would have said 'my CDO' - then it's in alphabetical order.  <grin>

I noticed that you had posted this question a few months ago.  Obviously nobody answered.

Does it affect any operations or performance, or is it just your CDO thing?

  • hi bfatwow, is it a shared folder?

if it is a shared folder, its not surprising some users might have change it.

Please advise if it is a shared folder, it can be change to any icon of your choice. :)

hi Tim, i actually click on this thread. Because the title is "Does anyone know anyone who works at Microsoft?"

I was planning to answer yes I know someone,  Mr. B G  LOL

Forum users should not have this title, it's not just appropriate to post such a forum thread title.
