DPM 2007 SP1 to 2010 quasi-upgrade RRS feed

  • Question

  • Existing DPM 2007 SP1 server configured and working but reporting is NOT working correctly.  Is there anything wrong with following the deinstall procedure for DPM 2007 , then installing DPM 2010 to install DPM 2010 correctly.

Then I copy the RA installer from the new DPM installer and run it manually on each client.  Anything wrong with that approach?

  • Hey,

Is there a specific reason why you want to do it like this? I think it will work, except that I advise to uninstall the agents from your clients first before you uninstall DPM 2007.

    Cheers,

    Mike

  • The DPM server is not in a healthy state.

    A few further questions:

Will I be able to use existing Replicas or should I delete those as well.

  • Hi Don

The replicas will probably work just fine with the upgraded DPM server.
