  • Can we customize the self service portal in SM RTM version? For Example, I want to add under category sub category list.

  • You can add sub categories thru the SM Console (Library->Lists->Incident Classification)  and they will show up in the Portal.

    Travis wrote a post a while back where he summarize what can be done regarding customizations in different areas of Service Manager:

    So... above being able to add/remove categories your able change the following things in the SSP:

    ·  IT contact information

    ·  add/remove some of the action buttons

    ·  change the branding logos

    ·  place the self-service portal/IT analyst portal web parts on a SharePoint site where you can further customize the look and feel around the web parts

     

    (And of course, announcements are read from the CMDB as well so that can be changed as the categories)

  • The Source code for the portal will be released today and it also includes a new function so end users can update their incidents
