Migration plan for Office 365 Tenant A to Office 365 Tenant B RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are heavily using infopath froms (Rules, Condition, hidden field, form load etc.) and 2010 SP Designer workflows in our office 365 environment https://ABC.sharepoint.com .

Now we are planing to move/migrate all site collections to another office 365 tenant https://XYZ.sharepoint.com by using METALOGIX migration tool.

Can anyone please suggest what are the issues we may face with Infopath Form and Workflow after migration and what are the significant/certain points we have to add to our MIGRATION PLAN?

    Thanks

  • You will most likely have to rebuild SharePoint 2010/2013 Workflows. Generally workflows use the ID and/or URL of the item you're migrating and those will change. InfoPath forms should survive the migration unless you've done external references within the form.

One thing to keep in mind is that the migration of content will be quite slow as you'll be throttled with your migration tool going from tenant to tenant.

  • I think it is not a bit problem when you do the migration. It seems you have regular contents.

Since Office 365 has the only version, there is no compatible problem.

  • Thanks but sorry I didn't get your response.

There are lots of issues happen right after migrating Infopath froms and Workflows to the new environment.
