Pending Uninstall RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I have around 50 PC's which are Pending an Uninstall as they are not on the Domain. I have run the Removal tool against them and it says they cant be found. They keep popping back each day.

    How can I get them to be unmanaged and then delete them from the database?

    Many Thanks

    James

    1. Run command, fcsoart /RemoveOlderThanDays 30

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the post.

    I am wondering if you have tried to use Forefront Client Security Offline Asset Removal Tool for try:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2272146

    If so, you could also try the solution provided in the following KB article to delete orphaned server/s records from "OnePoint" Database:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555911

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks I have tried the Offline Asset Removal Tool and I get errors saying the PC's cant be found. I can find them though however I get told when I try and force them into unmanaged mode that I cant do it as it is referenced by one or more processing rules.

    Do you know why this is so I can get rid of them?

    If not I will give the SQL Script a go and see what that does.

    Many Thanks

    Go
    Declare @computerID uniqueidentifier
    Set @computerID = (Select idComputer from Computer Where
    name = 'Management Server Name Here'AND domain

    SampledNumericDataSource where idComputer = @computerID)
    Delete From SampledNumericDataSource
    WHERE idComputer = @computerID
    -- Events --
    Delete From EventParam
    WHERE idEvent IN (Select idEvent FROM Event WHERE
    idloggedon=@ComputerID)
    Delete From EventConsolidated
    WHERE idEvent IN (Select idEvent FROM Event WHERE
    idLoggedOn=@ComputerID)
    Delete From Event
    WHERE idGeneratedBy = @computerID
    -- Alerts --
    Delete From alertEventSuppression
    WHERE idAlert IN (Select idAlert FROM alert WHERE
    idComputer=@ComputerID)
    Delete From AlertHistory
    WHERE idAlert IN (Select idAlert FROM alert WHERE
    idComputer=@ComputerID)
    Delete From alert
    WHERE idComputer=@ComputerID
    -- Computer --
    Delete From computerattribute
    WHERE idComputer=@ComputerID
    Delete From ComputerResponsibility
    WHERE idConfigManager=@ComputerID
    Delete From ComputerToComputerRule
    WHERE idCOmputer=@ComputerID
    Delete From Configuration
    WHERE idComputer=@ComputerID
    Delete From computer
    WHERE idComputer = @computerID

    How would I do this?

    Many Thanks
