How do I set up PWA for Project Server 2010 in Sharepoint 2010? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

AX 2012, Sharepoint 2010 and MS Project on standalone machine with Domain Controller

I have installed Project Server 2010.

I have created a new content database "ProjectServer_PWA" and set other collections to not be able to exceed current number of sites so next site created will definately be created in "ProjectServer_PWA".

I then clicked on "Manage Server Applications" and then clicked on "Project Server Service Application" which allows me to "Create Project Web App Site". I started this.....

It gets all the way to the "Provisioning Databases" but then it fails with "Failed - see the Application Event Log". I look in here and see the folowing critical messages:

Cannot start queue. SSP: <GUID>  SiteUID: <GUID> URL: <blank> Queue: TimesheetQ

    and

Cannot start queue. SSP: <GUID>  SiteUID: <GUID> URL<blank> Queue: ProjectQ

Is this a permissions issue?? What permissions does this login require?

    Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    John.
