DPM 2010 Co-Location Randomly Storing 1 VM per Co-Located Volume RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have enabled Co-Location on a DPm 2010 protection group. This group protects only virtual machines.

When I look at the co-location volumes I see one that stores 4 virtual machines but multiple other co-located volumes that only store 1 virtual machine. The virtual machines are only small as well i.e. VMA = 13.66GB, VMB = 51.11GB. How come both of these virtual machines are not co-located on the same volume? This really puzzles me as it is not hitting any co-location threshold (250GB default) that I am aware of. Why is this happening and how can I avoid it?
