  • I need to adjust the relevancy ranking list to accomplish the following in the order indicated below from most to least relevant.

Ranking I would like in relevance for search
    1. A Page
    2. A View
    3. Document Title
    4. Document name  ie xxxx.pdf where the xxxx matches
    5. Managed Meta data such as Keywords etc
    6. Word proximity
    7. Document activity

  • You can start by looking into customizing rank profile and give more weight based on your most important relevancy:

  • Hi Patrick,

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

I see that there are Quality (static) rank components  and Dynamic rank components used to create the rank profiles. Also there are a few examples to get and manage it using PowerShell scripts and From the Search Action Links Web Part

Could you please elaborate it more with steps on how should i create/change relevance ranking to most important relevancy i.e. A Page.

So, search result with query text which has matched text in any page name should appear first in relevance ranking.

Thank you a lot for your kind help.
