    Its better to reject messages to invalid recipients. Otherwise if you accept all messages, you make Exchange generate the NDR and those go to spoofed addresses and can land you on blocklist. Spammers don't need to validate your addresses, they'll just flood your network regardless.

    If you want to do this and Exchange is accepting messages directly from the internet then disable recipient filtering on the Exchange server

    I assume this is an Edge Server in Exch 2016
