SteadyState and AD - Profile options question RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

I'm trying to use steadystate in a domain environment with Server 2k3 and today came across an odd situation.  Normally we do all the software installation on site when we install the computers themselves, however last night I was feeling ambitious and preloaded SteadyState and Public Web Browser among the other software usually loaded on prior to bringing the PC to the library itself.  Now since it is on a separate domain in the library, when I preloaded the software on the PC I obviously hadn't been able to establish the domain account on the PC.

The curious part of this is that normally SS will show domain profiles to set its restrictions if they're not set in the AD, but this time it didn't.  I'm curious as to if the domain profile has to be established before installing steadystate for this to happen.  Any ideas?
