IE 11 Crashes with EMET 5.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • IE 11 Crashes with EMET 5.0

Originally posted in IE Forum, but I was scolded and told to post here.

Running Windows 8.1 Update (including the 08/12/2014) Updates.

    All patches applied.

Problem was occurring before installing the latest updates.

When browsing to certain sites (random, although Slashdot generally will crash), IE crashes. It closes and then tries to reopen IE on the page. Crashes again.

Norton Identity and Vulnerability add-ins are enabled.

Don't really want to disable Norton or EMET. Do I really have to choose one protection or the other.

Here is the information from the event log:

  • I'm having the same problem. Windows 8.1 with all updates applied. I'm using Windows Defender with EMET 5.0. I've not seen a pattern concerning which websites EMET crashes on; it just crashes. Here's the details from the crash that happened just a few minutes ago. I'd appreciate whatever help you can give us. (My wife's PC is experiencing the same behavior.):
