System Tray Notification ballons RRS feed

  • Question

  • Although there are items listed for notification balloons. I have not found ANY that work across the board. It worked under my login, but NOT others. I am looking for a solution that works in a domain user situation, where multiple standard users are to log in to the computer. Also this will have to be a standard solution that will have to work when cloned or imaged.

I have gone into group policy and made changes and that worked for me as an adminsitrator. But when I login as a standard user to test it. The tray balloons are still there. This is for a hospital IT system, with the requirement that ALL solutions cannot imped or hinder HIPPAA compliance.

    Thank you

If yes, then can you check using rsop.msc ?

  • This regedit seemed to worked, but ONLY if done as local ADMIN, not domain admin. The group policy did not work except for the user it is done under.

    Thank you.

  • Yes I have done this as I posted . It works for me while I am logged in, but it does NOT work for any standard user that logs in later. So this "solution" is NOT a solution.
