DISM Unmount Error 1920 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone see an error unmounting an image in DISM while commiting?
All I get is Error: 1920

This has happened a few times this weekend. After this, I cannot delete the test\offline folder due to permissions, but I can write to it (mount) and always have been able to unmount before.

    The log states:

Update: I ran the get-mountedwiminfo and see the status: Invalid.
So I ran dism /cleanup-wim and then ran the mountedwiminfo again and it is still invalid.
If I knew for sure that the WIM got updated, I'd just move on and try to delete the test\offline folder later.

  • Try running the following two commands with elevated privileges to remove any currently mounted WIMs?

    dism /cleanup-wim
    dism /cleanup-mountpoints

  • Thanks Anton,

I'm now just trying to delete the "offline" folder. I've changed the owner, added users with full control.

It is a giant folder that I can't delete, likely because something went wrong with the mount/unmount.
This image is my thorn. I never wanted to create it because they had me make it from a physical machine.
It also has about 8-10 user profiles on it and has been modified several times. I just want the offline/test folder gone so I can free up a decent amount of my drive.
