Power Query and Multiple Value Lookups in Access RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working with a database with tables that use multiple lookups. When the tables are viewed in PowerQuery, the multiple value fields are dropped and do not appear in any of the queries. Somewhat annoyingly, this makes an otherwise excellent tool rather useless.

Is there a way to remedy this?

  • We don't support fields of this type, so we remove them from the result.

I've added a work item to our backlog for supporting this, but it both looks non-straightforward and is a request we haven't gotten before so the likelihood of near-term implementation is quite low.

  • Cheers Curt - most frustrating! It would seem to be a disconnect between the way that the two applications handle data. Would have thought it would be a common set of functionality!
