Intranet and Internet not accessible after successfull VPN connetion has been made. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created custom PPTP VPN in RRAS 2008 R2 server. After successful connection with VPN my local network as well as Internet both not accessible. While checking the address in VPN connection it show as IP- 192.168.100.10 network mask- 255.255.255.255 gateway 192.168.100.10. While my default gateway and subnet mask both are different from this.

Any one help would be highly appreciated..

  • Hi Prem,

To Intranet,  please configure your RRAS server to use DHCP relay agent, VPN client will get the right gateway like it is in Intranet.

    Configure the DHCP Relay Agent

To Internet,  please change the VPN connection setting, clear Use default gateway on remote network check box on the client. Client could visit Internet with Internet ISP route.

  • Thanks Rick,

My issue has been resolved now. There is some other routing issue in my own Server.

    Thanks once again..
