  • Question

  • My desktop icon text has disappeared after a reboot. I can't find any way of switching it back on. Any ideas?

  • I had the same thing happen to me.  You have to turn on your quick launch toolbar.  Right click on a blank area of the bottom of your screen- the taskbar- then select toolbars and Quick Launch. Make sure Lock Taskbar is not selected.  That's it.

If that doesn't work, this might help.

  • Quick launch toolbar is already on. I turned it off and back on just in case but not luck. Show desktop icon is present and when clicked shows the desktop.

  • Hi,
I have the same problem and I’m are also still looking for a Solution. Before this happened the text was started to be cut (shorten) like “My com....” on almost all Icons with a longer name and finally the name/text for all icons did disappear completely
