    Specifically:

Consider the following scenario. You save a project file in the Microsoft Office Project 2007 (*.mpp) format in Project 2010. Then, you click the Save As button to save the project in Office Project 2007. In this scenario, when you reopen the project in Offie Project 2007, the data in the project is corrupted.

    I hope this helps.

  • Hello Jagadeesh,

Pls make sure all the editions/versions have the latest updates installed; that is, Project 2010 Desktop SP1 and Project 2007 Desktop SP2. Pls also check the article at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project-help/use-project-2010-with-previous-versions-HA010351708.aspx

  • You certainly need the update, and I also find that it is a good idea to convert all your manually scheduled tasks to auto schedule before you save as an earlier version as well.  The "built in" conversion for doing this as not, how shall we say - optimum. :-)

    Cheers,

    Tom.
