Lync dial-in conference accepts first call but then all other callers get a busy tone RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just setup Lync dial-in conferencing yesterday integrating with CISCO Call Manager and we have an interesting problem.  When dialing the conference bridge number the conference attendant picks up and I get conferenced into a meeting as you would expect.  If I then hang up / disconnect from the conference, I cannot dial back in until I cycle the Lync Server Conferencing Attendant service.

Anyone have any ideas with the attendant service is only allowing 1 connection and not freeing it up once the conference has ended?

I look forward to your ideas..

    Thanks.

    Mike

  • Hi,

If you can also check the lync interoperability program to see your call manager version over there and make sure the settings which microsoft has mentioned i.e. enable refer support or disable media by paas and then try here is the link for lync interoperability program. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lync/gg131938#tab=2

If you can also use lync logging tool at the time of the problem to know what exactly is going on. Also if you can check any errors or warnings on lync server mediation service as well. http://blog.schertz.name/2011/06/using-the-lync-logging-tool/

  • Hi,

normal you can use so much calls you want to the dial in conference. We use a certified Gateway and very often more then 20 Persons dial in at the same time.

Wich intergrate do you use if SIP trunk is it allowed to make more than one trunk?

You can use a TCP trunk and debug the call flow with Wireshark

  • Hi,

    Any update?

If your problem still is not solved, please give more logs about this problem. Please run lync server logging tool at mediation server and find more logs about the problem.
