Table and watermark picture RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have watermark picture in background and I have table with text inside. I positioned text to fit places in picture but when I publish it to PDF with Oracle BI publisher desktop table is moved from top and from bottom, like have some margin, and disorder my text in relation with picture.

Does anyone know how to prevent this moving of table when publishing as PDF?

  • Hi,

If you are working with a Word document, try to save the document as .pdf, will this issue occur?

Since you are using Oracle BI Publisher Desktop, which is a 3rd-party tool, I suggest you ask the developer of this tool, they should be familiar with the function and probably provide you with the right direction.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

  • Hi Milos

In case you are still finding a problem with movement of table, text etc. when creating a PDF in Word (as suggested by Melon)...

We had a similar issue when creating PDFs with table and text including an image set as a watermark. To get round this the watermark was set with a fixed position to the page.  As shown in the screen shot below. Also notice the options "Allow overlap" and "Layout in table cell" are ticked.

You may also need to set a fixed position for the table via Table Properties | Text Wrapping "Around" | Positioning.

I have a watermark on a Word document and merge to PDF Works like a charm. But when I merge to emai, the watermark disappears.

How do I keep the watermark in the emails?
Or how do I print to individual document and not a page in one big doument?
