  • Hi,

From your description, I know there are duplicate folders in your clients. Per my research, you can try the following suggestions:

<1>Check whether your outlook clients have installed new updates: If yes, this issue is maybe due to the new updates are incompatible with the third-party application, then you can disable the third-party add-ins and then check the result.

<2>Run “Outlook /Resetfolders” to see if the issue gets fixed

<3>Run “Outlook /cleanprofile” to see if the issue gets fixed

<4>If the issue still occurs, move all the items from old Inbox folder to new Inbox folder, and then delete the old Inbox folders using MFCMAPI, which you can refer to the following:

Hope it helps. If the issue still occurs, please let us know.

  • Can you give a try to move the mailbox from one storage group to another if that does not work then yes you can proceed with recreation or the mailbox. Apart from above check if the mailbox is in broken state..

Or You may try to reset the mailbox folders via outlook.exe /resetfolders.
