  • Hi,

    thank you for the answer!

    Hmm....
Details for QFE4 furthermore say this:
    "Issues that this hotfix resolves

The following issues are resolved by this hotfix:
    • You cannot configure a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 server that has a third-party product installed.
    • Item-level recovery fails even though the backup is complete in SharePoint Server.
    • When a System Center DPM client computer starts, the client-side user interface (UI) starts a backup process. If the backup process is pending when the client computer starts, the startup process is slow.
    • When a protected and clustered SQL database has lots of Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF) files spread across the shared clustered disk (1240 NDF files), initial replication does not finish. Additionally, the job times out after 12 hours.
    • When you add new clients to a protection group in a data recovery flow for System Center DPM server, the UI stops responding. This issue occurs because there is insufficient space for a replica."

But again my question:Do I have to install QFE1 at first, then QFE2 and son on or does QFE2 include all updates from QFE1 aswell?

Another question: if I have to install the QFEs one after another is the same way necessary for the agents?
So do I have to update the following way:

    1. Update DPM to QFE1
    2. Update agents to QFE1
    3. Update DPM to QFE2
    4. Update Agents to QFE2
    5. Update DPm to QFE3
    6. Update Agents to QFE3
    7. Update DPM to QFE4
    8. Update Agents to QFE4?

    Thanks in advance

    regards
    /bkpfast

  • QFE are not cumulative and you must install all the version as you can see:

    Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.

    your procedure is ok

  • Hi,

I could imagine your answer is not right at least regarding QFE2:

Who is right - S.Net or Mike Jacquet?

    Thank you and kind regards!
