IE 10 opening file download prompt in the background RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

My company is using IE 10 as their default browser and was just recently upgraded to that form IE8. We use Oracle as our ERP system and employees need to export data to Excel. This requires a download prompt from IE 10. Since Oracle will already be in the foreground when the export is started, the file download prompt will open in the background behind Oracle. This is causing a lot of confusion because the file download prompt does not come to the foreground.

I am aware that we can disable all file download prompts, but for business purposes we will need to keep the prompts.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make IE 10 file download prompts come to the foreground?

  • Hi,

So here you want the download prompts to pop out to the foreground?

Please take a look at the article below to see if it could help here:

    Customizing the download experience

Or we may consider to use some scripts to call a dialog box when the download is ready.

    Hope this may help

    Best regards
