  • Question

  • So, when I installed vista I created a partition then installed win to it. The remainder of the harddrive is now missing. What can I do to restore the rest of my hardddrive? I have downloaded alot of software claiming to help but so far its pointless. One bit of software seemed to recognize the unpartioned/unformated space but didn't fix my problem. This has got to be simple I'm sure. There is nothin complicated unformated/unpartioned space is in accessible. I'm at a loss for search terms here, I've tryed everything i can think of. Please advise

  • Hello,

According to your problem description, since you have reinstalled the system after formatting the computer, please understand the original data would be overwritten and I am afraid to say they might be irretrievable. I suggest you try the following software to see whether they could help to recover your data.

    Power Data Recovery V4.6

    Windows Data Recovery Software

It is recommended that you should backup necessary data before reinstalling the OS in case that we get some files currupt or damaged in the future, which will protect ourselves from losing important data. Should any loss or damage occur, you can simply refer to these pst files. Thanks for your time and understanding!
