    My machine is an old rig comprising of Pentium 4(3.06 GHz), 2 Gig RAM, an 80 Gig HDD and an ASRock MB with G41 chipset. I was getting Freezes when I initially switched from Windows XP to 8 but solved then using the 'disable dynamictick' trick. Recently I am again experiencing Freezes, the whole system locks down non-responsive, even the num-lock key wouldn't change. And also when I try to restart the display wont come up. I have to turn the power off , wait fro a few minutes for it to work again.The only solution is to restart. The HDD is fine 'cause I did numerous SMART tests. Can the problem be with the IGP 'cause there is no official driver for it from Intel. The freeze usually happen when I am using google chrome or watching a movie on VLC or MPC. I tried underclocking and increasing fan speed but to no avail. Please suggest.

    Please monitor the memory and CPU usage.

    Meanwhile, please update the graphic card driver manually, also test if the issue occurs in Safe Mode with networking.
