Root directory executable files in program files RRS feed

    As mentioned in above subject, we are working on windows server 2008 64 bit, we have inhouse applications, after installation we are unable to locate the executable files in root directory. ie., Start->Programs->xxxx->???

    The in house application are of 32 bit. although it has to visible at root directory.

    Please help us, how to trouble shoot.

    Are there any errors in the event logs?

    Did the installation of the application complete successfully? Were there any install logs generated? If so does it show any errors?

    Hi,

     

    Please clarify your current concerns. Does the application install correctly? Did you change the installation directory or use the default path like C:\Program Files? Can you find the file under the installation path? If so, you can create shortcut for the program manually.

     

    Please show hidden folders first, for only current logged on user, create shortcut as you want in the following path:

     

    C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

     

    For Start Menu shared by All Users, refer to:

     

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
