Answers

  • Problem solved, I found this when I was having a similar problem with Win 7. I did not use the update installer through the browser. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Flash from Adobe and installed it directly. I don't know if the Flash updater in my browsers will work in the future but this is a good alternative. Thanks.

  • Try uninstall the current version of flash player and restart your PC and install the latest version.

Also, note that support for Windows XP is already ended and you should consider upgrade to the supported version of Windows:

  • Hello, I already tried the uninstall and reinstall. I did not use the Adobe uninstall tool though. But then I could not reinstall flash at all? Looked at your link, may be something there on Adobe's side. Thanks...

  • Hello, tried that but did not use the Adobe uninstall tool. Result was I could not install flash at all. I had to restore my system to get it back. Maybe there is a problem on Adobe's end. Thanks.
