WSUS server - KB3159706 Installation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have installed the KB3159706 on the WSUS servers and executed the "wsusutil.exe" postinstall /servicing " command. WSUS server is working fine and WSUS Sync also working. We have missed to install HTTP Activation under .NET Framework 4.5 Features in the Server Manager Add Roles and Features wizard. If i install HTTP Activation now will have any impact to the WSUS server?

    HTTP Activation

    TIA

  • Hi, should not have impact. Don't forget to give another "Restart WSUS service".

What will be the impact if we not enable the HTTP activation feature?

  • Hi, Actually, I haven't test it yet.

As documented, if you don't enable it, the update installation is not completed. So probably there may be problem during windows 10 servicing.
