Capacity planning and resource vacation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are using the capacity planning through the project web app. According to my resource calender, it is on vacation during the month of October. But, when I look into the capacity planning, it didn't change the capacity for that resource to 0 in October, it still maintains the normal hours like the month before and after.

    Best regards,

    Barbara

  • Hi Barbara,

How did you enter the vacation for the resource? Did you opened the resource from the resource center in MS Project? Then edit the resource working time and add exceptions? You then need to save and it should work, I'm not aware of any bugs concerning this feature.

    Hope this helps,

  • Another way of doing this is using time-sheets and submitting timesheet using ADMIN VACATION time to the resource manager, who then approves the vacation time.   This should reflect the resource not being available as well.
