Terminal Server Easy Print Print Redirection performance issue in Win 2008 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an issue with Win 2008 R2's Terminal Server Easy Print Print Redirection performance. When the client's printer is configured as non-shared resource, redirected printing takes a very long time. When the client's printer is shared, redirected printing is quite fast.

Can anyone account for this phenomena?

The time and performance will be related to the size of the file. For example, if you print some simple TXT file will be fast, but if you will print some report with for example 10MB this 10MB will be download to the client (upload from server to download on the client).

    Make sense for you?

    I hope it help you.
