    I have a number of machines that keep having the following error after the error the printer stops printing until rebooted, any ideas what's happening?

  • Thanks for the reply, I am aware that restarting the spooler will resolve the issue however it is not practical as the units are customer facing for the production of tickets and we have over 250 of them.

  • This is a normal condition. Please try to clear the print queue for a test.

    1. Open a command prompt with elevated privileges.
    2. type the following commands:

    net stop spooler

    del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q

    net start spooler

  • You can create a script to restart the spooler on the clients.
