How to add additional columns to KPI Scorecard? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have scorecard with KPI name, Actual & Target, but I want to display KPI Owner, Comments, Status & Actions  columns next to Target column. Is it possible?

The datasource for my Scorecard is a SharePoint list & this list contains these additional columns. Is it possible to pull these columns as it is from SP list to scorecard?

    Thanks

  • Yes it is possible to pull these columns into a KPI given that those columns are not defined/identified as your dimensions. Here is what you can try:

    1. Go to your 'Data source --> View' tab

    2. Mark 'Comments' column as 'Fact' with aggregation = None.

    3. Go to your KPI and add a new Actual metric.

    4. In 'Data mappings' select the 'Comments' measure.

    5. Select the dimension member which represents a KPI uniquely. (if you leave it empty or have a member with multiple rows your measure will come out empty)

    6. Change the calculation type to 'Text value'

    7. Add to your Scorecard and verify.

  • Is this possible in SharePoint 2007?

I am working on SharePOint 2007 and want to add extra columns from SharePoint Custom list to KPI List. But the above suggested options are not available.

  • I believe this should apply to SharePoint 2007 we well.

You are failing on which step number?

Verify if you have created a PerformancePoint data source pointing to SharePoint list.

  • Thanks for your response.

No, I have not created PerformancePoint data source. We don't have a Performence Point Server. I have created a base SP list and using its data in a KPI list.

I was not able to execute any of the above mentioned steps.

  • The steps only apply to PerformancePoint Server dashboard KPIs.

It seems your questions is related to SharePoint 2007 only. You would get a quicker response if you post your question here:
