WSUS Server on Memeber Server RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Can some one please explain what is the best Practice for WSUS Server, i dont want to instll it on Existing DC2k12.

    What are the other options available?

    Do i need to install it on the member Server?

    Please advise

    To avoid any misunderstanding, I want to confirm that you want to install and deploy a WSUS server in your domain environment.

    If yes, you should install it on the member server. The following article shows detailed steps:

    • The best practice is to not run WSUS on a Domain Controller. “If WSUS is installed a domain controller, this will cause database access issues due to how the database is configured.”
