Unable to get to my Outlook.com email RRS feed

  • Hi I am unable to access my email account "******@hotmail.com" also alias "*****@outlook.com" I login @ msn.com successfully but get this error when going to outlook.com "Something went wrong You're currently signed in as h*******@hotmail.com. Please sign out, then sign in to Outlook with the account you use to read your organization's email." This is the account I have always used.  More Details: shows -

  • I am also facing the same issue. The issue occur only on account with aliases.

    I can login to Microsoft account but not the mail box.

  • Same problem, same error message here.  Started two hours ago.  I reset my password, did no good.  Tried other browsers on my laptop, tried on my Android tablet, all the same error message.

  • I'm having this same problem as of today and I have tried changing the primary alias to a new outlook one but that doesn't seem to fix the problem.

  • Same here, nothing's worked. My account is not associated with any organization, so I don't know what they mean.

    EDIT:

    It seems to work now! None of my attempts to fix it worked, but it seems to have been fixed in the backend.

  • Ok so...it seems a whole bunhc of people are facing the same issue with the "Mailboxnotfound" error. I have my outlook tab open and signed in basically 24/7 and it suddenly just became unusable even after clearing cache/restarting comp/trying on my phone etc. I was assuming something was wrong with my account itself as my other email accounts all work perfectly fine. 

    I hope this gets fixed asap..

  • Hi,

    As far as I know, your account may be migrated. Microsoft is in the process of migrating all outlook users to the new outlook mail, just let you know that the migration will take about 2-3 days. No worries, after this process everything will be back to normal.

    What I would suggest is to wait for the meantime the process of migration. Then aside from that, you can access emails through outlook application if you have one.

  • I just started experiencing this issue today as well as another friend. The issue happened trying to sign into XBL which suggested that we sign into Outlook and update our privacy settings. Trying to sign-in online sends me through a loop of errors, "that wasn't supposed to happen" "you've found a glitch" and then:

    I was able to get into settings and select privacy settings once, it had me verify my account, and now when I try to get back to my settings, it's throwing generic "something went wrong" errors or "you've found a glitch".
