credentials manager issue RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a user whom is working from home and connects to the corporate network via vpn. L2TP/IPSEC. So I setup an entry on his credential manager for him to authenticate with the shared drives so that once he tries to connect to the shared folder, there won't be any prompt for authentication but for some reason every time I create an entry, on his next reboot it disappears. So far I tried the following. 

    1. add an entry on Windows credentials tab and format is:

    server: <servername> even tried using FQDN

    username: domain\<username>

    password: the user's windows passowrd

    2. Tried doing UNC path to the file server

    \\<fileserver> hostname and even tried IP, put in the credentials and checked the box that says remember my password

    3. double click directly the shared folder after vpn has been established and same format as action #2 put in the username and password and check 'remember my password'

    but still unsuccessful. OS is: Win 10 1909
