Change default security provider RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Proclarity Dashboard Studio has a Security Providers dialog box, which lists the Active Directory servers used to authenticate users.  We are able to add new active directory security providers into the list, but we cannot delete the current default security provider AD server.  The reason we cannot delete the server is that when we connect to Dashboard Studio, it authenticates us using the current default security provider, and Proclarity refuses to delete a security provider that you are currently authenticated through.  We have added several other AD security providers, and set one of the new providers as the default provider.  However, for some reason Proclarity continues to authenticate using the previous default security provider.  To delete the default security provider, we have to log into Dashboard Studio “locally” as a system user (a user that is not an AD domain user).  We have several local system user accounts set up, but to date have been unable to log into Dashboard Studio using a local system account.  We do know the local system account credentials, but have not been able to log in with them.  Can someone help us figure out how to log into the Dashboard Studio as a local system user, so we can delete the old primary security provider.  Sounds simple, yet we have been unable to do so.  Any help would be appreciated.
